Asphalt

We supply and pave asphalt.
We have been an asphalt company for over 13 years.

We are an asphalt contractor that is located in Alberta and serves the Alberta area.

Different applications require different asphalt mixes. Not every Asphalt mix is the same. The mix required dependents on my factors. A parking lot will have a different asphalt mix than a Nascar track or a parking lot. The weather can also have impact on which mix is used. Extreme temperature swings can play havoc on an asphalt mix that has not been formulated for that environment.

Just as the mix is important so is the base. The base typically being crushed aggregate. Consider the base, like a type of foundation. A base that has not been tamped properly will be lose and provide an unstable foundation for the asphalt. The proper amount of base is important, to allow for settling and shifting. A thin base will allow the asphalt to sink into the ground below the base, over time.

Asphalt is a semi-solid material. This means that while it appears completely hard and immovable, it is indeed flexible and fluid. Concrete is just the opposite. Asphalt is the most economical solution for commercial, public and residential surfaces for vehicles and pedestrians.

We also recommend that asphalt is sealed with a seal coat on a regular basis. This prevents water and fluids seeping under the asphalt and propped it up and open when the fluids change volume, such as freezing.
